Place an Ad

See 'How to Place an Ad' within the help section of search4jobs.com.au

Advertiser Profile

This section will display the information entered when registration was completed. Your details can be changed and saved as required.

User Profile

If you would like a secondary user to be able to view your ads etc go to 'User Profile' and select from the 'Friend User' section the name of this person and select 'save'.

To add a friend as a user see the following section.

User Registration

This section allows you to add extra users to have access to your account and the ability to load ads. This function is useful if you have multiple consultants or office branches and you want them to have their own login details. Secondary registrations will only be able to view ads that have been loaded by themselves. As the primary user you have the ability to view all ads loaded onto your account.

Image Library

The Image Library enables you to upload and save your company logo(s) for future use.

Click on the browse button, select your logo and click upload. (Logos must be in gif or jpeg format). Once you have uploaded your logo(s) the following screen will be displayed.

Logos can also be added to your ads when placing an ad.

Status Filter:

The Status Filter is set to the default 'current'. The ad filter allows you to filter your ads by the following criteria:

Any:

Selecting 'any' in conjunction with 'all' will display any ads you have loaded. This includes current ads, archived ads, withdrawn ads and draft ads.

Pending:

Displays any ads that have been loaded but the account is waiting to be processed and verified.

Current:

This is the default setting and will display ads that have been loaded, published and are visible on the live site.

Archived:

This option will display all ads that have previously been active.

Draft:

This option will display ads that have been loaded but not yet published.

Template:

By selecting 'template' ads that have previously been saved as a template will be displayed.

Withdrawn:

This option will display ads that have been withdrawn from the live site. This is different to Archived ads as by withdrawing an ad within the 30 day period you still have the ability to re-activate the ad for the remainder of the 30 days. For example if you post an ad on 1 March and withdraw it on 10 March the ad still has the potential to be live for another 21 days until 31 March. If you decide on 20 March that you need the ad to go live again, simply re-activate and the ad will appear in its original position (i.e. posted on 1 March) and remain live until its expiry date on 31 March at no extra cost.

To filter your ads simply click on the status drop-down box, make your selection and click 'go'.

User Filter:

If you are the primary user for this account and have registered other users you will be able to view their ads by using this filter. Please note: secondary users only have rights to view ads loaded by themselves. Primary users are authorised to view all ads.

End Date:

From the drop-down box you can select one of the options ranging from the default anytime today, last week/month etc. There are also options to choose a date range in the future, enabling you to pre-load an ad which will automatically go live on the chosen date.

Sort By:

From this drop-down box you have the ability to sort your search by the following criteria: Reference, Title (default), Search Hits, Start Date, End Date, User.

By using the above filters you will be able to customise your search to your own preferences and find the particular ad you need at any time.
