Rockhampton Mater is a 140-bed acute hospital offering general medical and surgical, high dependency, coronary care, paediatric, obstetric and gynaecology, rehabilitation, oncology and specialised services.

The Gladstone Mater Hospital, collocated with the district hospital, opened its doors in April 1999.
