THE founder and CEO of Regional Nursing Solutions (Queensland Health Industry), Sue Dunlop, comes from a rich mix of technical and life experience, has great vision and sets clear goals with a positive attitude bound for success.
Her experience spans the merchant banking, retail, human resources and law industries.
Throughout her 20-plus years working in high-pressure, fast-paced managerial roles and environments, Sue has maintained a passion for the nursing and healthcare industry, which she studied earlier in her career.
Sue, husband Tom and their three young daughters left Sydney in 1999 to “chill out” in Noosa. After one year at home as a full-time mum, Sue founded the home-based business The Noosa Agency, a nursing recruitment agency requiring a 24-hour-a-day commitment.
Eight years on, the business has rebranded to Regional Nursing Solutions (RNS), seen exponential growth and now covers many regional areas of Queensland.
Sue has led the business from inception to its current success and her commitment to strategic planning and a solid board structure has played its part in the ongoing development and sustainability of the RNS business structure and service delivery.
Being a fan of business and leadership authors like Jim Collins, the RNS team has undergone personal growth and transformation since its inception, with the management team focused on cultural best-match, bringing together a team of nurses, recruiters, educators, administration and managers across the roles that make up RNS today.
RNS has been recognised at local and state levels with awards, and Sue believes she is very lucky to be surrounded by a committed and vibrant team of professionals, all of whom share the passion of making RNS a great company, providing great nursing care to the communities of regional Queensland.
RNS holds memberships with the RCSA, Aged Care QLD, AANRA and SCBWN and was recognised as Employer of Choice at the recent Australian Women and Leadership Forum. Sue is a GAICD and member of KEEN (Knowledge Exporters and Entrepreneurs of Noosa).
